Sarah and I want to invite you to be part of an ongoing miracle that God is doing in our lives and overseas in South Africa.
On October 16, 2009 we will be traveling to Mitchells Plain, South Africa as full time missionaries for the next two years. We will be joining a partnership that has seen more than 7,000 children make decisions for Christ over the past 9 years. This partnership was developed in 1999 between Mr. Keith White, Director of Playbook for Life, and Westridge Baptist Church in Mitchells Plain. Since then, miracles upon miracles continue as South African church leaders have been trained and equipped in VBS, children’s ministry, sports outreach, FAITH evangelism, and leadership development/gifts-based ministry.
The F.R.O.G. Center (Fully Relying On God) stands perhaps as the greatest miracle. Built through the partnership, the FROG Center is the only community center in Mitchells Plain, a Cape Town suburb of over a million people. The center houses a basketball court, daycare center, senior ministry, computer lab, and sports outreach that attract more than 200 children a day. It is our goal to tap into the potential of every ministry opportunity that presents itself in Mitchells Plain, so that it can be transformed from a dark and desolate township to a city on a hill. Other ministry opportunities that we will be involved with are an HIV/AIDS home, an orphanage, an elderly widow’s home, the local schools, and lots more that we are not even aware of yet. Our ultimate goals are:
- To minister to the people by meeting whatever needs they have.
- To reach out to hopeless children so that they can see and know the hope of life in Christ.
- To reach people far from God so that they may be filled with life in Christ.
If you share a passion with us for these people and our goals then we would ask that you join and support us with prayer. Your prayers can mightily move the hand of God, so pray for:
- God to continue to move in miraculous ways.
- For the hearts of the people to be open and receptive to us and the message we will bring.
- For the preparations for us to leave in a few short months to go smoothly and that we raise all of our support.
- That we will adjust easily to our new life in South Africa and grow even stronger in our faith and our marriage
It was wonderful getting to meet you last night at the cookout. We will be praying for you and your family and look forward to hearing how God will be working in and through you.

Jeremy & Sarah,
Your sister church in Charlotte, Candlewyck, joins you in prayer for your new adventure at the FROG Centre. Having had a long term relationship with John Pascoe and having made two mission trips to The Centre, our hearts are with you there. In addition, another awesome brother pastor in South Africa, Grant Baston, wil be moving to Hout Bay, another Cape Town suburb, in December to Valley Church. So our interests in God’s work in that area has tripled — the Pascoes, the Bastons, and now you guys!! Blessings & joy for your journey from our Lord Jesus!

After ten years, the roof to the center needs to be replaced. God has undertaken for the main roof, we will still need support to do the lower roofs.
